Planning the Week

Planning the week

Many great people have developed the habit of planning before they were successful. They know the value of time and understand that spending a few minutes to make a plan can save hours in the future. Many of them find time to travel, relax with family, read, and educate themselves, despite their incredible busyness.

There is only one global reason why successful people do so much and still have time to relax, spend time with family, and have fun. It’s not that they have a unique set of genes or that they sleep three hours a night. They just have a strategy that they stick to. Most people, on the other hand, have no idea what’s in store for them this week, what they’re going to do. Even if they create a plan, it usually takes the form of a chaotic list of tasks. So it’s not strange that there are so few successful people. You always have to do what matters and refuse to do what is not useful.

Ordinary people begin their work week with a vague idea of specific tasks within their professional responsibilities. But it pays to make a plan. Even if it is not well thought out at first, it is still more effective than not having one. Many people work hard, but also don’t do anything important. You need to get busy visualizing and imagining yourself as the person you want to be in a few years.

It’s important to remember to celebrate last week’s results. This is an incredibly important point; it should never be skipped. You need to let your brain know that every week there will be something enjoyable and rewarding going on. Every day a person will learn something new. But learning isn’t worth a dime if you don’t make knowledge part of life. One should write down all the key insights every week. Often people take on things and do not finish them. Gradually these gaps must be filled, otherwise their number will only increase. Perhaps some tasks should be forgotten about forever?
